My Asian Skincare Story
It’s so damn hard another to blogging after a protracted break. Even harder when you are suffering from tired. And it’s really cold outside. Of before Monday morning And you have a crapload of work to take care. Anyway, of this self-pity enough. We have a cushion review to create. The name is an improvement over the prior Diorsnow Bloom Perfect Blooming Skin something something cushion. And Personally i think such as this is the sole improvement and I could basically conclude this review the following, right now. Dior, I really like you darling and you understand it.
What is up with those shit cushions you keep releasing? You have a primary pipeline to the Korean cushion gods themselves, the mighty Amore Pacific, yet, with the help and licensing even, you still can’t make a decent cushion. Oh, for fucks sakes, I’m done being pleasant here. By now everyone should know what a cushion foundation is. If not, can get on with this program and read some reviews (click here). It’s in essence liquid basic foundation in a concise.
The foundation sits inside (or under, in some instances) a sponge which you press with an applicator puff. So there you own it, your portable liquid basis that is simple to apply on the run. Amore Pacific, the Korean plastic giant responsible for brands such as Iope, Sulwhasoo, Hera, Hanyul and many, many others, is the granddaddy of pillow foundations.
It holds a lot of patents that make cushions possible. Dior sought some of this pillow goodness and developed its pads using Amore Pacific patents. The whole report is more complicated than that, but this is the TL;DR version for those folks with brief attention spans really. However before we proceed any further, A confession is experienced by me to make. I am over cushions.
I was an early adopter and really offered them my all. Don’t get me wrong, I like cushions still. But given a choice of spending my hard earned cash with a cushion or a bottle of traditional liquid foundation, I am going to go with the liquid. Cost-performance. And hygiene. But mostly the actual fact that with cushions you have to spend big money for a minuscule amount of product.
Which may, or might not, be crap. I wasn’t heading to buy this one. I had developed no motive of buying this one. I went in for some nail polishes and the sales lady remembered me from back February as i was lamenting how quickly the previous Dior cushion oxidized. This time the girl was organized.
As soon as I sat down to wait for my toenail polish swatches to dry, she grabbed the cushioning and began to show me the new shades. Here they all are. In Japan the darkest shade (030) isn’t available. I would go directly to the team store with my trusty MAC NC15 tube for comparison purposes, but I’ve been feeling lazy. I’ll swatch all the colors soon and post an upgrade. My cushion comes in shade 012. It’s not the lightest color, but it’s nowhere next to as dark as it looks in the screenshot above.
And what else can I tell you? This cushioning still oxidizes in a hurry. Granted, never to the point of some other base makeup products (ahem ahem, Blooming cushion, I’m considering you), but close. However, when applied more than a white, glowing base, it looked decent pretty. That was what fooled me.
- HomeoPet Hot Spots
- 8 years back from Ontario, Canada
- Half of your avocado mashed into a paste
- Ethical Gifts
- It deep cleanses the dermis
- Natural skin care products are non-allergenic on your body
- Wash that person with tepid to warm water and apply the mixture with cotton ball for lightly wiping the face
That’s why I bought this cushion. Unfortunately, day when I helped bring it home and tried using to play with it the next, it didn’t play beautifully at all. It hated my common sunblocks. Avoid being an idiot. Don’t count on a makeup product as your only way to obtain sun safety. It amazes me that some beauty bloggers actually make reference to cushion foundations as “sunscreens”. They are not. They truly are makeup.
But hey, it’s that person and your image ageing process, so enjoy! So anyhow, this Dior Capture Totale Dreamskin Perfect Skin Cushion hated the most common sunblocks I take advantage of. It would rotate and flake forcing me to redo elements of my regimen. It needed to be set with powder. Now, on a normal day I have zero against that. Dior. With that combo it viewed perfect. The other loose powders I tested it with (Laura Mercier, Kanebo, different Kanebo and Kose) made it settle angrily into lines and wrinkles and fine lines.
